2PM‘s Taecyeon and Gui Gui were all smiles for their wedding photo shoot.

During the recent filming of MBC‘s ‘We Got Married (World Edition)’, Taecyeon got ready for the big day by asking advice from Kwanghee and Jinwoon.

Gui Gui also seemed excited as she shared, “I’m nervous because it’s my first time wearing a wedding dress in front of a guy.” After catching a quick glimpse of her before the shoot, Taecyeon commented, “Gui Gui looks really good in a wedding dress, but I don’t think words can describe it.”

After hearing about their wedding photo shoot, netizens commented, “At this rate, they might just get married,” “They look good together,” and “I’m looking forward to this episode.”

★“We Got Married (Global Edition)” reached a record viewership of 15 million in China★

MBC representative announced on the 17^th that Episode 2 of virtual-marriage show – “We Got Married (Global Edition)”reached a viewership of 15 million in just 1 day after being aired on China’s video site “iQIYI” on the 14^th.

In terms of viewership, among all the variety shows on “iQIYI”, “We Got Married (Global Edition) is ranked third and is ranked first among all the foreign variety shows.  Earlier this month, Episode 1 of “We Got Married (Global Edition)” also reached a viewership of 5.8 million in just 1 day.

MBC estimates that the number of people watching “We Got Married (Global Edition)” far exceeds 15 million given that there are people watching through other websites and channels.

A terrifying terrorist attack in Boston and the tense situation between North and South Korea has led to many tourists cancelling their plans to visit South Korea. However, Guigui remains professional and had returned to Korea for work on the 14^th to film “We Got Married (Global Edition)”. Upon reaching South Korea, Guigui noticed that the streets were still bustling with people and the shopping crowds had not decreased. Given that it is the cherry blossom season now, besides using her free time to enjoy good food with the filming crew, Guigui also took the opportunity to view the cherry blossoms and she frankly said that she cannot feel that a war might be coming.

Guigui Flys to Heng Dian, Fully Prepared Against Avian Influenza

Guigui will be flying to Heng Dian for filming these two days. Given China’s H7N9 avian influenza outbreak, she has taken protective measures. Wu Ying Jie (Guigui) and 2PM’s Ok Taecyeon are featured in Korea’s “We Got Married (Global Edition)” as a newly married young couple. Even though the situation between North and South Korea is tense right now, but the filming of the show is still proceeding as per normal. Guigui will still return to Korea for work on the 14th. While her agency is worried and nervous, Guigui is calm and remarked, “I hope that we can have a peaceful world, and that our life as a couple will not be disrupted.”

The first episode of “We Got Married (Global Edition)” reached a record-breaking 5.85 million viewership in Mainland China, and became the champion that week for the highest viewership for a foreign TV programme. After Guigui heard about the news, she said, “Thank you to everyone for liking us. We will be decorating our new house in Episode 2, so remember to catch the show on time!” In Episode 2, Ok Taecyeon transformed the floor of the house into a piano keyboard, making Guigui pleasantly surprised and she performed “Little Bee” on the spot and laughed and said, “Other people use four hands to play, but we use four legs instead!”

“We Got Married” Press Conference – Wu Ying Jie Popular in South Korea

MBC’s “We Got Married (Global Edition)”, featuring Wu Ying Jie (one of Taiwan’s most popular actress), Ok Taecyeon (2PM member), Lee Hong Ki (FT Island member) and Fujii Mina (Japanese actress), held a grand press conference in South Korea recently. Wu Ying Jie wore a white tube dress, which was very refreshing and cute at the same time, making her gain a lot of fans. 

iMBC Offical Weibo recently uploaded a photo of Wu Ying Jie and Taecyeon, in which both of them were wearing couple earmuffs and smiling happily as snow falls on them. Another photo showed the both of them looking at the camera, giving off a sweet and romantic feel. A lot of netizens have commented that “both of them are very cute”, “they look similar when they smile”, “they are a matching couple” and “looking forward to watching this couple”. Some netizens even suspected that Wu Ying Jie and Taecyeon are actually dating off-screen and gave them the title “Most Matching Couple”. At the press conference, when asked who her favourite 2PM member was, Wu Ying Jie instantly replied “Nichkhun”, causing the whole audience to laugh out loud.

“We Got Married” is South Korea’s most popular programme. By choosing the mischievous Wu Ying Jie, this means that the producers saw her potential and popularity in China, Taiwan and Hong Kong. ★[News]MBC TV ‘We Got Married’ (Global Edition) holds press conference★

The press conference for the global edition of MBC TV ‘We Got Married’ was held on the afternoon of March 28th at MBC Dream Center in Ilsan, Gyeonggi Province, which was attended by the couples of F.T. Island’s Lee Hong Ki and Fuji Mina together with 2PM’s Taecyeon and Emma Wu.

Lee Hong Ki expressed, “Since a long time ago, I have always wanted to get married to a foreigner. There were even times where I imagined myself to be getting married. Although it is make-believe, it feels pretty interesting to be experiencing married life in reality. When I heard that ‘We Got Married’ was going global, I immediately accepted the offer to appear in it. If it was just the normal ‘We Got Married’, I would most probably not appear in it.”

Exciting footage from the global edition of ‘We Got Married’ were aired during the press conference to whip up anticipation. When Taecyeon’s ‘wife’, Emma Wu, was asked who her favourite 2PM member was, she said without hesitation that it was Nichkhun. After hearing his wife’s reply, Taecyeon jumped up from his seat in protest, and left everyone in stitches at his exaggerated actions. Emma Wu then expressed, “I am really happy to be collaborating with Taecyeon.” Taecyeon said in jest, “What about Nichkhun then?” Emma Wu replied, “It was just a joke to mention Nichkhun, I love Taecyeon oppa the most.”

The global edition of ‘We Got Married’ will see idol celebrities from different countries having a virtual marriage and work their way through weekly missions and candid interviews. The show will star F.T. Island’s Lee Hong Ki and Fuji Mina together with 2PM’s Taecyeon and Emma Wu. A Chinese version of ‘We Got Married’ was aired in February 2012 and received a good response in China, and starred Super Junior’s Kyuhyun with Lou Yi Xiao together with T-ARA’s Hyomin and Fu Xin Bo.

The global edition of ‘We Got Married’ will be aired in over 21 countries including South Korea, Japan, India, Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and China in weekend prime-time slots.

The show will make its debut at 11:10PM (KST) on April 7th through cable channel MBC every1.

Guigui Wu Ying Jie took part in South Korea’s MBC “We Got Married (Global Edition)” with 2PM member Taecyeon as a virtual couple. One month after filming started, Guigui and her husband, Taecyeon attended the press conference yesterday. At the press conference, Guigui said that she cannot forget the moment when Taecyeon kneeled down and sincerely proposed to her, moving her to tears.

Guigui said that Taecyeon completely changed her impression of South Korean men. During filming, Taecyeon is a very considerate man with many romantic gestures. After he knew that Guigui spotted a pair of shoes that she liked, he specially went to ask the store owner to sell him the shoes that was only for display and not for sale. The next day, Taecyeon then went down on one knee and helped Guigui to put on the shoes, making Guigui feel very touched.

2PM‘s Taecyeon gave his virtual wife Gui Gui a “10 out of 10“.

At the press conference for ‘We Got Married – Global Edition‘ on March 28th, he was asked to describe Gui Gui using a song title, and he answered, “10 out of 10. Thank you J.Y. Park for making a song with such a good title.”

He continued, “We began to film together as an on-screen couple. It was a fun and refreshing experience. I was worried about how to approach her because of our cultural difference, but I felt like being comfortable and relaxed during filming was more important.”

Taecyeon also spoke about his first time meeting with Gui Gui, saying, “I was very shocked at our first meeting. It wasn’t a bad kind of shock, but I felt a cultural difference.” The two met at a cafe and ordered large hot chocolates. He wanted to do “cheers” since it was a special occasion, but in Taiwan “gunbae” means having to chug the drink down. Taecyeon said, “In the end, the drink was chugged.”

He then revealed when he thinks Gui Gui is the prettiest: “I think Gui Gui is the prettiest when she greets me and smiles before shooting. Her smile is very bright. Every time we meet she greets me with a “Hello,” and she looks so pretty.”

On another note, ‘We Got Married Global Edition’ will feature Taecyeon and Gui Gui as well as F.T. Island‘s Hongki and Japanese actress Fujji Mina.

‘We Got Married (World)’ couple Taecyeon and Gui Gui display their chemistry

2PM‘s Taecyeon and Wu Ying Jie (Gui Gui), who will be starring in the ‘world version’ of ‘We Got Married‘, snapped beautiful photos while walking in a winter wonderland.

This picture was actually shared by iMBC, who posted on their official Weibo, “We are sharing the first moment with you all. Don’t they look great together?”
